This collection explores the intersection of cultural heritage

and personal identity through a visual narrative inspired by

my Jamaican roots. Honoring my father’s migration from

Kingston, Jamaica to New York, The Rhythms of Pride

serves as a tribute to the strength, resilience, and beauty

of the Jamaican people. Drawing from the symbolic colors

of the national flag—black for strength and creativity of

the people, gold for sunlight and prosperity, and green for

hope and natural resources—each of the four looks rein-

terprets traditional meaning into modern, wearable forms.

Through this work, I aim to express gratitude, celebrate

legacy, and affirm cultural pride within a contemporary

fashion context.
