What is the difference between Bengala + RUNWAY VIP and RUNWAY General & Student Admission?

 

Bengala + RUNWAY VIP includes the scholarship gala reception and the RUNWAY fashion show.

RUNWAY General & Student Admission includes the pre-show activations and the RUNWAY fashion show inside Buffalo State University's Sports Arena.

 

Both ticket types include access to the fashion show and awards ceremony.

What is Bengala + RUNWAY?

For the first time, Buffalo State’s signature scholarship gala and the student-led RUNWAY fashion show come together for one iconic evening.

​

Your ticket supports student scholarships while celebrating the creativity, purpose, and innovation of our student designers.

​

When should I arrive for Bengala + RUNWAY?

Plan to arrive at 4:30 PM for the full orange-carpet entrance experience.

4:30 PM – Orange-carpet photos, interviews, credential pickup, auction preview
6:00 PM – President’s Welcome
7:00 PM – Procession to the RUNWAY Lounge
7:30 PM – RUNWAY Fashion Show
8:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

What is included with Bengala + RUNWAY?

Your ticket includes:

• Cocktail-style gala reception with culinary stations

• Silent auction access

• “Stand for a Student” giving moment

• Access to the RUNWAY Lounge with drinks and dessert

• RUNWAY New Era Cap Swag

• Structured seating inside Alumni Arena for the fashion show

Is Bengala + RUNWAY a seated dinner?

No. The gala is a cocktail-style, immersive experience with limited café-style seating. Reserved tables are available through sponsorship opportunities.

Where do I park for Bengala + RUNWAY?

Complimentary valet parking is available in Lot I-39, accessible from Iroquois Drive. Event signage will guide you upon arrival. Please refer to the campus map for details.

What should I wear?

Dress Code: Cocktail to Semi-Formal. Elevated & Expressive.

This is not a black-tie affair — unless you want it to be. We celebrate your unique style.

What is “Stand for a Student”?

“Stand for a Student” is a brief giving moment during the program that supports scholarships. Guests may donate at a level meaningful to them. Donations may also be made in advance during ticket purchase and will be acknowledged during the appeal.

​

How does the silent auction work?

The auction opens April 11 and closes April 26 at 6:00 PM. Guests may bid before, during, and after the event using the online auction link. Physical item pickup will be coordinated individually.

​

What does my ticket support?

Every ticket and gift directly supports Buffalo State student scholarships across all disciplines, including emergency financial assistance.

​

Who attends this event?

Alumni, corporate partners, community leaders, faculty, students, and friends of Buffalo State gather for one of the university’s most dynamic fundraising evenings of the year.

When should I arrive for RUNWAY General Admission?

Arena doors open at 5:00 PM for the full pre-show experience. The RUNWAY Fashion Show begins promptly at 7:30 PM. Please plan to be seated before the show starts.

What is included with General Admission?

Guests may:

• Explore the Bengal Bodega Pop-Up Shop

• Enjoy the BuffaLoveBus photobooth

• Purchase concessions before the show

• Enjoy stadium seating for the fashion show

Where do I park for RUNWAY?

Self-parking is available in Lots G-24, G-22, and R-12. Please refer to the campus map for details.

​

Is food and beverage available?

Yes. Water, soda, and light snacks will be available for purchase at the Sports Arena concession stands before and during the show.

​

Can General Admission guests participate in the silent auction?

Yes. The silent auction is open to all Bengala + RUNWAY guests. Bidding opens April 11 and closes April 26 at 6:00 PM. All proceeds directly support Buffalo State student scholarships.
