Breaking Free explores the weight of mental health strug-
gles and the layers of identity we carry—especially when
the world misunderstands us. Inspired by straightjackets,
the collection symbolizes how systems can constrain not
only our minds but also our identities.

Each look reimagines simplicity with intention: straps,
canvas layers, and structured forms reflect the tension
between being bound and reclaiming self. From the jacket
marked with a number to the dress most reminiscent of
restraint, every piece tells a story of survival and self-lib-
eration.

Rooted in intersectional identity, this line speaks to how
race, mental health, and personal history intertwine. It’s a
reminder that healing is powerful, and being yourself in a
world that tells you not to is an act of resistance.
